Advertising Design

For this project, I had to choose an existing brand and create mockups for it. I chose to do Converse. I edited together different colored converse to create one huge converse.

Sketches

I came up with 6 different concepts. I played with a bunch of different styles and play on words.

Typography

After deciding to go a sans serif font. I chose this font that fit well with the converse brand. Stevie Sans came very close to the converse font style.

Color Palette

I used black and teal to compliment the multi-colored shoe. Converse is known for use alot of colors. Teal add the right amount of contrast to the design.

Draft 1

I initially planned to have every color of Converse into a single design. I combined different elements from various Converse shoes to create one unique piece. I intentionally didn’t align the parts perfectly, as I felt this would give the design a distinct and creative appeal.

Final

I refined the shoe design by using fewer colors and focused on creating a more cohesive look. The original design felt too chaotic with all the colors. Additionally, I developed other variations of my ad to complement the updated design.
